Who can ride the ATV/Quad bike?

Generally, tour companies require you to be at least 16 or 18 to ride alone. Those eight and up (5 in some locations) can ride with an adult. On ATVs Adults should not hang together. There’s no weight limit, but if you weigh over 350 pounds, just let your travel agent know, so they arrange for a larger ATV.

You need a valid license to operate an ATV in Costa Rica for your safety.

What should you wear for ATV riding in Costa Rica?

Depending on the location and season, expect to get wet and muddy or dusty. It’s all part of the fun of being off-road. You’ll want closed-toed shoes and swimwear, as the tours allow you to stop for a swim. Bring a change of clothes for after the time.
