• The training period will be five weeks.

Job Overview

Have experience and knowledge of Costa Rica? Are you energetic, independent, and do you thrive in a performance-based model? Then we’d like you to join our Travel Planning team to:

• Work one-on-one with interested customers (no cold calling)
• Design and sell high-end vacations to Costa Rica

If you’re selected, you’ll go through a comprehensive training period where you’ll learn to craft personalized itineraries for different types of travelers while using your own abilities and strengths to genuinely connect with people.

Compensation

After the initial training period, average consultants can earn commissions and bonuses equating to $45,000 annually. Top producing consultants can earn $100,000 or more.

Required Skills and Experience

This is the ideal profile of a candidate:

• Highly disciplined and self-motivated
• Have phenomenal communication skills
• English language: Must read, speak and write English at near-native levels (C1 or C2)
• Thrive in a “work hard, play hard” environment
• Live in Costa Rica
• Resilient personality, unphased by rejection or failure
• Honest, trustworthy and professional
• Goal oriented and financially driven
• Strong social skills, able to connect with people
• First-hand experience with Costa Rica’s primary tourism destinations
• Proficient in basic computer skills: typing, MS Office, Google Docs
• Availability to work flexible hours

Being a local Travel Consultant is a job that requires great dedication, but it also offers a lot of payoff. 

As avid travelers themselves, the ability to work remotely is a big perk. They never stop exploring, even when they have settled down with their families or have lived in Costa Rica for decades. They’ve fallen in love with the country, its culture, its people, its nature, and the cherry on the cake is that they get to share all those special experiences with people who will appreciate them too.
