Forbes listed Manuel Antonio among the world’s 12 most beautiful National Parks. Moreover, it’s one of the most visited national parks in the country, despite being the smallest.

This small National Park is home to many animals, over 100 mammals, and 184 species of birds. This is the place for those looking to experience the abundance of wildlife found in Costa Rica.

With the help of your guide and some luck, you might see white-faced capuchin monkeys, red-back squirrel monkeys, two-toed sloths, three-toed sloths, coatis, agoutis, pelicans, toucans, deer (Costa Rica’s national mammal), colorful land crabs, the mangrove hummingbird, and many butterfly species. You might also see and hear the laughing falcon and the howler monkey.
