There are plenty of beaches called “Playa Hermosa” (Beautiful Beach) in Costa Rica. It's that kind of country. The most well-known, though, is Playa Hermosa de Jaco on the Central Pacific coast.
This beach is one of Costa Rica's surfing meccas and hosts numerous international competitions every year.
