 Tranquilo
Bay is built within the rainforest above the
mangroves of Bastimentos Island. Only a
forty-five minute boat ride from the Isla Colon Island of Bocas del Toro, the hotel
is ideally located near national parks and coral
reefs. Tranquilo Bay was the idea of four Texans, whose
goal was to build a place of harmony, tranquility
and relaxation.
 There are
six intimate tropical cabins on the
hotel grounds, of which four have ocean views and
two
have jungle views. The cabins are luxurious
with solid wooden beds, hammocks, porches, marble
bathrooms, AC and a seating area for relaxation.
There is a main lodge set high above the rainforest
with spectacular ocean views, great for watching the
sun set. The main lodge has a library area, upper
decking for drinks or morning coffee and a communal
eating area
The hotel runs an all inclusive package for a
minimum of typically three nights. The package includes
all drinks (non- alcoholic, Panamanian beer, house
South American wine, Panamanian rum drinks),
three meals
a day, snacks and tours (depending on the package
chosen).
Close to Shore Package Tours: kayaking, snorkeling,
swimming, library, hiking and bird watching.
 The Reef Package Tours:
beach trip, bird tour,
fishing, snorkeling or diving, jungle hike, surfing
and kayaking.
