A stay at Sapibenega Lodge is an
escape from the fast-paced world and a true cultural
experience. Sapibenega Lodge is located on a private island,
just a forty-five minute flight from Panama City. Upon arrival,
clients will be met at the airport, then transferred to the
Lodge by a motorized dugout canoe, twenty minutes from the
docks.
 After
settling in, breakfast will be served in the dining
area.
Lunch and dinner feature delicious seafood from the area. The
Lodge has nine bamboo cabins, built with a touch of Kuna style.
All
of the simple cabins sit just steps from the water and are equipped with comfortable
beds and fresh water
showers and toilets.Solar power is generated from 6:00am to
8:00pm each day.
During the morning you can relax in one of the hammocks
tied off your ocean-view back porch and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this
beautiful spot. This tiny island has a small white sand beach with
excellent snorkeling just a few strokes off shore.
 On
one of the planned excursions included in your stay visit a local
Kuna village.
These incredibly friendly local people make the famous molas:
elaborate and colorful ceremonial textiles. You can also
visit a local cemetery to learn of Kuna beliefs of life after
death.
On some occasions, the local
children will perform a traditional songs and dances for guests
before dining outdoors by torchlight. This is an
unforgettable and unique experience. Completely Kuna
owned and operated, guests will quickly be won over by the
kindness and sincerity of their hosts.
