Cala Mia is a divine getaway where keys and shoes are not necessary! This resort is situated on an unspoiled island, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and picturesque palm trees. Cala Mia is made up of 11 exquisitely designed bungalow suites, each suite is within 10 meters of either the Ocean, beach, or bayside. The suites are tastefully designed and full of details, the furniture in handicrafted woodwork and materials are all authentic. The bar/restaurant that is perched upon a little isthmus allows a stunning view of neighboring coves and islands, the private beach, and the sprawling freshwater pool. A spa and yoga exercise center can be found on a small island connected by a hanging bridge. This is a true nature-lover's paradise which various monkeys, birds, turtles, dolphins and many other animals call their home.
As an environmentally friendly and green resort, Cala Mia is entirely run by solar power.
As an ecologically and socially aware resort, we believe that we have responsibilities towards the earth and all its inhabitants. For this reason, 5% of room rates go towards supporting indigenous populations.
Cala Mia is situated on the secluded island of Boca Brava in the Archipielago of Chiriqui, part of the National Marina Park in the golf of Chiriqui. There are countless remote beaches and over 100 islands within this area.
A rich variety of wildlife inhabits the park, including howler monkeys, margays, ocelots, raccoons, jaguarundis, coyotes, ant-eaters and in the ocean and bays dolphins, whales, hawksbill turtles and numerous tropical fishes. The beautiful blue skies are a crossroads between 2 continents for hundreds of species of birds.
The ambience is peaceful in the daytime and lively at night. There is diving, horse-riding, and bird-watching, and countless stories to be told.
The Cuisine is indubitably one of the most selected in this area . Our very own organic vegetable and garden farms produce the highest quality ingredients to create delicious traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
