This trip is a tale of juxtaposition.
Start out your vacation with some rugged adventure deep in the
rainforest. Finish by pampering yourself in a luxury ocean view hotel. This
trip allows you to have the best of both of Costa Rica's tourism worlds...the
rough, and the smooth.
 Day
1: Fly to the San
Jose international airport. Upon arrival you will be met by one of
our representatives, where your itinerary will be explained and
questions answered. You will also be provided with a packet
of vouchers and information about your trip. From the
airport you will be transported to
Hotel Bougainvillea, a
beautiful country inn with fabulous gardens and top notch
hospitality. The perfect place to overnight your first
evening in Costa Rica.
Day 2: Fly from the San Jose Airport and take in the
scenery while en route to Quepos. From Quepos you will have a short transfer to the
remote Rafiki Safari Lodge. This luxury tent camp is nestled on 700 acres deep within
the pristine Savegre River Valley. The South African inspired safari tents
are situated on hardwood decks and
provide an intimate
 encounter with nature while enjoying the basic comforts of a hotel
room. Large open bathrooms with hot water are a fueled by
the property's own water and heating systems.
Day 3: Ready for excitement? Go
whitewater rafting on the
Savegre River,
a Class II/III half day challenge for more experienced paddlers. The Savegre drops from the mountains above Quepos,
through a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to
sea level. While on the river, you'll be passing nearby
farmlands and palm plantations; the scenery is unforgettable.
Day 4: Take a horseback riding tour through the
mountains (approx. 5 hours) Enjoy the natural beauty of
the landscape. What to bring: long pants, good walking shoes,
insect repellant, sun block, and a camera.
Day 5: Just when you were getting used to "roughing it"
in the rainforest, it's time to relax on the beach. At the
Buena Vista Villas
you will encounter the
ultimate in luxury nestled in Costa Rica's lush rainforest
overlooking the beautiful Manuel  Antonio coast line. Enjoy
the private sandy beach along with marvelous panoramic views of
the jungle and
sea from your room. Here you will receive all the
amenities of a Costa Rica beach resort, including daily maid
service, a pool, restaurant, bar, and more. Don't forget
an in room message upon request for unsurpassed relaxation."
Day 6: This is your time to relax and soak up the
sun! Sea kayak around the bay or relax by the ocean
view swimming pool.
Day 7: Take a Yacht Cruise! This afternoon sailing adventure finds you aboard a classic yacht
cruising down the scenic
coast. Pass by the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio
National Park  and view the breathtaking sunset. Along the
way you may see dolphins and other sea creatures. The cruise includes
transportation, gourmet dinner and dessert, refreshments, and a
bilingual guide. Stay at the
Buena Vista Villas.
Day 8: Transport to Quepos
Airport for a domestic flight to San Jose where you'll await your
flight home.
